El Nido Lagen Island Resort, Palawan, Philippines
El Nido Lagen Island Resort
Nestled between 10 acres of forest and a calm, shallow lagoon with breathtaking limestone cliffs, El Nido Lagen Island Resort is a serene luxury resort that features overwater bungalows in a serene environment.
There are nine beachfront cottages at El Nido Lagen: 18 water cottages (better known as overwater bungalows), and 24 forest rooms and suites. Timber recycled from old Filipino homes is used for both the floors and the floors and furnishings and floor-to-ceiling glass doors open up onto private balconies that overlook the cove, Bacuit Bay, or cliffs. Rooms are equipped with a CD player, mini-bar, air conditioning, and a private bathroom.
Noticeably absent from the rooms and the resort is plastic. The shampoo and body wash comes in large refillable containers and a large water jug is placed in the room and refilled regularly to keep you hydrated. Water refilling stations are scattered throughout the resort. Pro tip: pack a reusable water bottle to carry water on your activities and help the resort do its part to reduce plastic pollution.
AMENITIES AND DINING
