Anthony's Key Resort, Roatan, Honduras
Located in Roatan, Honduras Anthony’s Key Resort is a small tropical hideaway with both hillside and overwater bungalows. Overwater bungalows are located on a small private islet, reachable by boat, and are separate from the resort’s main grounds where a restaurant, bar, and dive shop are among the amenities offered.

Anthony’s Key offers four room types: Key Deluxe Bungalows, Key Superior Bungalows, Hill Standard Bungalows, and Hill Superior Bungalows. The hill bungalows are nestled amongst lush greenery on the main island’s hillside. The Standard wooden bungalows feature private balconies, shared decks, and breeze louvered windows and ceiling fans in lieu of air conditioning. The Superior bungalows feature Honduran hardwood furnishings, air conditioning, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and a shared deck.
The superior overwater bungalows feature two full beds, Honduran furnishings, air-conditioning, and shared decks. The deluxe overwater bungalows have one King-size and one Full-size bed, air conditioning, and private decks.
Opened more than 40 years ago, Anthony’s Key Resort offers an abundance of activities from golf to spa treatments at the Ixora Spa, to a day on the private island of Maya Key to whitewater rafting tours. Overnight trips to the main island of Roatan allow guests to tour Mayan ruins, a coffee plantation, or local hot springs.
Guests can also visit the Roatan Museum and Roatan Institute of Marine Sciences and participate in educational programs and encounters with marine mammals. A family of Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins makes their home just across our lagoon at Bailey’s Key and guests can swim, snorkel, and interact with them in their natural environment with no trained behaviors.
The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world, makes diving and snorkeling are a large draw for Roatan. Warm water and gentle currents offer excellent year-round visibility. With nearly 35 dive sites nearby, Anthony’s Key is a diver’s paradise.

The Frangipani Bar features a selection of tropical cocktails and the resort’s restaurant, perched on the hillside, serves three meals daily (included in all resort guest packages). Breakfast is served buffet style, while lunch is casual fare including soups, salads, and sandwiches. Dinner offers a changing selection of three entrees and on “Island Fiesta” night, a BBQ buffet is served.
Located near the swimming pool, Ixora Spa offers massages, facials, wraps, manicures, and pedicures. Indulge in a Mayan Stone Massage or a Warm Bamboo Massage to soothe travel-stressed muscles.
Weekday weddings are available at Anthony’s Key and take place on a deck overlooking the ocean at sunset. Cake, floral, photo, and video, as well as assistance with paperwork and marriage certificates are all available.
