Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge, Minneapolis, Minnesota
The interior is moody and bamboo with waterfalls and Tikis strewn throughout, making it the perfect place to drink your troubles away. In warmer weather, their waterfront patio, replete with thatched umbrellas, is the perfect place to imbibe and hang out with your favorite four-legged friend, since dogs are always welcome! You can even arrive by boat and tie up at their dock before you drink. Just make sure that your skipper is swilling the non-alcoholic stuff!
The cocktail menu is helpfully labeled from weak (identified with one skull) to strong (three skulls) so you know what you're getting into before you order. Sharing is caring, so we suggest the Eruption in Paradise, a smoking rum concoction that serves 1-4 people or Leilani's Fire Bowl, because the only thing better than a drink is a flaming drink. Beer and wine are available, but with their beer menu dubbed Crap on Tap, we suggest sticking to cocktails!
Pupu options are plentiful, ranging from the traditional Polynesian wings to the outlandish, like Poutine Tator Tots and Potlock Pickle Roll-Ups (aka Minnesota Sushi). Minneapolis pizza, burgers, and other bites round out the menu. Weekend brunch from 10am-2pm offers up the option of a Bloody Mary Bar and, if you're like us, that's always an option!
Stop by on a Saturday night to experience their three theme bars: Ports of Pleasure, Forbidden Cove, and Shrunken Head. Each bar has a unique vibe from the raunchy (Ports of Pleasure) to the romantic (Hidden Cove) to suit your mood.
