Martell's Tiki Bar, Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey

Martell’s Tiki Bar is located on Point Pleasant Beach at the New Jersey shore. Literally right on the beach as this stilted bar sits over the sand and offers sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. Martell’s is a quintessential Jersey shore bar that serves up all the classic tropical drinks you’d expect and a few unique options – be sure to try their Tiki Tea, a mix of sweet tea vodka and pink lemonade – and its dance floor has been voted the best in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Adding to the ambiance is frequent performances by live bands, giving the bar a fun party vibe.

Right next door to the Tiki bar is Martell’s Lobster House. In addition to seafood, including a raw bar, there’s an extensive menu for the non-seafood eaters which includes burgers, wraps and steaks. But we’ll stick to clams on the half shell and the lobster trap thank you very much! Food and drinks are on the pricey side and service can be hit or miss, but Martell’s is a not-to-be-missed Jersey shore classic.

Summer – Memorial through Labor Day – is high season, so swing by later in September or on a sunny day in October to enjoy the atmosphere sans the summer craziness.

Martell’s is child friendly, but children must be accompanied by an adult over 21. Be aware that they have a pretty strict dress code policy, which you can find here, and a cover charge at various times (mostly weekends and when live bands are playing).
