Surfing Santas, Cocoa Beach, Florida

Surfing Santas

Before Santa takes to the sky to deliver Christmas presents, he takes to the shore to surf. Cocoa Beach to be exact, for the annual Surfing Santas event. The event started in 2009 as a family day at the beach and on Christmas Eve 2017 nearly 900 surfers and several thousand spectators showed up, making it the largest event ever.

No registration is required to surf and it’s free to surf or spectate. Pack your finest festive duds – Santa, elf, reindeer, or otherwise – and enter to win cash prizes in the free costume contest.

Santa Swag event merchandise sold benefits the Florida Surf Museum and Grind for Life, a charity that provides assistance to cancer patients and their families who are required to travel long distances for their treatment.
